How to Find Different Niche Ideas

Now you need to brainstorm some niches that you are interested in.
But you might be thinking how can you brainstorm those niches instantly?

You don’t need to worry as below I have shared 6 tips through which you can find some niches.

Tip 1: List Down your Hobbies, Passion, or Interests.

This is the best way to find some niche ideas as you will love to share content about your hobbies, passion, and interests.

So pick up a pen and paper then note down what are your hobbies, passion, and interests.

For example, if you love playing football or cricket, you love cooking or dancing, you love traveling or shopping, so note down those topics as these might be one of the best niches for your blog as you are already interested in them.

Tip 2: Look around your Room or Home.

Now, this can be more helpful if you only think about your interests and hobbies then you might stop getting more ideas at some point in time.

While looking around your room or home can help you to get more niche ideas.

For example, I’m writing this article on my laptop, it can be a niche, also I have a mobile phone, a wall clock, a wireless mouse, my smartwatch, and many more things in my room, so anything from these can be a niche for your blog.

Also, I can see a refrigerator, an electric induction, an oven, utensils in my kitchen, a television in my living room, soap, shampoo, and hair conditioner in my bathroom, etc.

So just look around your house you will find hundreds of topics on which you can share content on your blog.

Tip 3: Check out Outside your House.

In tip number 2 you have checked your house, but there is a world outside it, also have a look outside your house, you will find thousands of topics.

To note down more topics I went outside my house and start to observe different things I saw a car, a bike, and different vehicles, I saw some children skating, a shoe shop, a pet shop, and much more.

So, start to note down more and more topics by exploring outside your house.

Tip 4: Take Help from Friends.

You can take help from your friends and relatives, and ask them about their interests, hobbies, and passions. So they will tell you what they like, for example, dancing, singing, graphic designing, video editing, etc.

With this, you will get more and more ideas and topics about what other people are interested in and you can write about.

Tip 5: Explore Social Media.

You can also explore social media sites and apps like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and other social media groups.

Try to figure out what people are liking and are interested in, and which topic is growing or trending and will grow more in the future, you can also check out some accounts which are growing very fast so people might be interested in that niche.

And note down those topics too.

Tip 6: Search on Google.

You can take help from Google by searching best blogging niche ideas/topics, you will find hundreds of blogs that have already shared hundreds of blog niches on their blog.

I have also shared some high CPC blogging niches you can choose one from them too.

Also, Google trends will help you to find out which topics are growing and trending in the past few hours, days, weeks, months, or years.

Now you have a list of niches by following these different tips like cricket, traveling, wireless mouse, oven, car, pet, shoe, video editing, etc.

Things to Keep in Mind Before Selecting a Blog Niche

Now you have a list of some interesting blog niches, so the next task is to select a niche from that list that is perfect for you to write on, profitable for your blog and which can work for a long time, that means till the time you are running that blog.

And to help you, I have shared some important steps that you need to keep in mind and ask yourself before selecting any niche.

Believe me, if you follow the below-mentioned questions carefully then you will be able to select the best profitable niche for your blog very easily.

1. Do Proper Competitor Research.

You need to check which niche has less competition so that you can rank on top of the search engines to get more traffic.

It’s really important to check whether there are any competitors on search engines or not. If there is huge competition then you should not enter that niche as a beginner blogger, because you don’t know how to write an SEO-optimized article, or how to do proper keyword research.

That’s why it will be difficult for you as a beginner to rank in that particular niche, so go with a niche that has less competition.

Now you might be thinking about how you can find out whether there is competition in a niche or not, don’t worry I’m here to assist you.

You need to create a new niche list, for that just open Google.com and search for any topic related to the niche with the prefix allintitle: and you query between double quotes like “Your Query”, and it will look like allintitle: “Your Query”, and check how many results you get at the top of the search results.

Check the below images to have an idea of what I’m talking about

google-search-operator

Need to ignore this niche, as it has 45K + results.

search-operators

Again need to ignore this niche, as it has 2.5K + results.

google-operator

You can note down this niche, as it has less than 1K + results.

If the results number is above 1000 then it will be tough for you to rank in that niche and if it is less than 1000 then you can note down this niche in your new list.

2. Do You Have Some Knowledge About it?

After doing competitor research and finding the low-competition niches, the next thing you need to ask yourself is whether you have some knowledge about those niches that you have noted in question 1.

It’s obvious that you must have knowledge about that niche like what is it, what is the best thing in that niche, and which type of people like that niche.

I mean to say that you must have some basic knowledge of the niche in which you want to write and share content.

Now you need to update the new list that you have created in question 1, by eliminating the niches in which you don’t have any knowledge.

3. Can You Post Once a Week?

Now, you need to check out the list that you have created by following the above-mentioned questions and check whether you can write a post with at least 800+ words per week on those niches.

It’s really important to share more content on your blog to make it grow faster, and for that, you need to create a content calendar with at least 50 to 60 blog post topics.

As there are 52 weeks in a year, that’s why you will need to publish 52 articles every year, the main idea behind this step is to share content continuously on your blog.

But if you can post more than one post per week, then it will be more beneficial for you.

So separate those niches from the list that you have created above and create a new list and note down those niches on which you can write at least 50+ posts per year.

4. Will You Enjoy Sharing Content on that Niche?

Now you have a list of niches on which you can write at least 50+ blog posts in a year, the next you need to ask yourself is do you really love to share content on those niches?

It’s very simple just look at that niche list and think which are the niches in which you are interested, and separate them from other ones.

Then you will have some interesting topics on which you can share content on your blog, and as you are already interested in those niches, so you will love to work and write on it.

Now you have a list of niches in which only a few are left.

5. Is there Any Interested Audience?

Next, you need to check, that if is there any audience who is searching and has an interest in that niche.

It’s really important to have an audience who will read and engage with your content.

If you are writing a lot of articles but there is no search on Google or any other search engine regarding that niche or topic then it’s worthless to work on that niche.

Now you might be thinking that how to check whether people have an interest in a particular topic or not, not to worry, I’m here.

Google has an awesome tool which is Google Trends, this tool will help you to check whether people are searching on that particular topic or not.

As you can see the searches for “ICC Men’s T20 World Cup”, the chart got hype from October to November only, at the time of the World Cup.

So, it’s not a stable topic and you can’t work on this niche in the long term.

On the other hand, you can see in the below image, the topic of the “Wireless Mouse” has a stable chart that shows this topic will run for a long time and people will read about that for the long term.

So, you need to note down only those topics that are stable and will help your blog in long term.

Let’s move on to the last question and after this, you will be able to select the best profitable niche for your blog.

6. Can You Make Money from that Niche?

Alright, now only a few niches left that are very good for you to choose and run a successful blog, and now the last task is to check the profitability of the niche.

In the end, you are blogging to earn some passive income, so why not check the profitability of the niche? As of now, we are talking about selecting a profitable niche, so a profitable niche is that niche from which you can make money.

Now it’s time to check whether the remaining niches can be monetized or not, if not then remove that niche from the list, and if yes then think about the different methods through which that niche can monetize.

The niche that can be monetized in different ways will be the best profitable niche to select and work on.

Conclusion

Selecting a correct blog niche is a very important aspect of the success of any blog and after following this article your blog will definitely get good results.

In the beginning, you created a list of niches by following those tips, and after following those questions you were able to select the right niche for your blog.

Because you have done proper competitor research, you also have basic knowledge about that niche, you can also post one blog post per week, you also love to share content regarding that niche, there are peoples who love to read about that niche, and at the end, you can make money from that niche in different ways.

That’s all, this is the right and the best step-by-step process to select the best and most profitable blog niche.
