A Brief Guide To Rank Faster (2021) – Blogging Raptor

What is On-Page SEO?

On-Page SEO the term itself defines “On-Page” means doing the optimizations within the website or blog, so that it helps in increase of website or its particular page rankings in Google or any other search engines, with the help of On-page SEO you can increase your sites organic traffic as well as conversions of your products and other services.

Well, there are two types of SEO. First, On-Page SEO that we will discuss in this particular article, and Second, Off-Page SEO that I had discussed in the different article here (Off-Page SEO) which you can follow after reading this one. Now let’s get back to On-Page SEO.

On-page SEO
also refers to On-Page Optimization.

On-page SEO or On-page Optimizations is the best way to improve your website’s search rankings, organic traffic, or free traffic and it leads to an increase in conversions.

Why do we need to do On-Page SEO?

One question always arises in beginners’ minds that do we really need to do On-Page Optimizations?
So the answer is definitely yes, as in this fast-growing world peoples are creating hundreds of new blogs and websites every day, which is increasing our competitors as well as competition for us.

So, It’s very important to do On-page SEO to beat those competitors and stand out differently and upper in search rankings!!.

On-Page SEO

Is It easy or difficult to do On-page SEO?

So, now another question arises that is it easy or difficult to do On-page SEO?
Well, On-page optimizations are not that easy and not that difficult too. It depends on how you do it. If you have some knowledge of On-page optimizations that’s really good to go.

So, now people ask How To Do That?

How to do that? Well, this totally depends on you that how you write and your writing skills, as every blogger says “Content Is King“, because even if you have done all the SEO work 100% but your article/content is not that good to assist it’s readers then they will not read and simply press back and find some other one better than yours.

And if you do a minor SEO, but your article is the best in comparison to others and assists the readers in every query then it will lead to a decrease in bounce rate, and also readers will share that with their contacts too.

So first you need to write well, then focus on SEO.

Well, there are some steps which you will need to keep in mind to do the On-page SEO, these steps are simple & easy to do and a beginner can also understand it very easily.

And I promise you that if you do these steps perfectly then you don’t need to do anything else for On-page SEO, and also you might become an On-page SEO expert after doing it regularly as these steps look easy and simple but are of advanced level SEO.

Ok, now let’s get into those steps one by one for easy & better understandings.

1. Site Speed Optimizations & Mobile Friendliness.

This is an important factor of On-page optimizations is site speed and mobile-friendliness. Google makes changes in its engine and algorithm very frequently, it always looks to provide the best answers for every query search on it. For that, it takes care of many factors and site speed is one of them.

You just think, If you are visiting a website whose loading speed is more than 10-15 seconds and the other hand another website’s loading speed is just 2-3 seconds, so which one you prefer? Obviously, the 2nd one loads faster and saves our time, so google analyzes it and pushes its rankings up as it saves time for its user.

After that it focuses on the mobile-friendliness of a website, nowadays people are using & searching more on their mobile phones, as it is portable and people find it easy to use it quickly. And if your open a site, and it is not mobile optimized then people will just tap back and exits your site which will increase your bounce rate which creates very bad impressions towards google or any other search engines.

And if your site is not engaging it won’t help the user to find solutions for his/her searched query and search engines wants to give the best to its user, So they will downgrade your site’s rankings in search results which will lead to no organic traffic and fewer conversions.

So, it’s important that your site must and have good load speed and mobile-friendly.

Now, you will say how to do that too?

Well for that you can use light speed themes and fast loading templates for your sites and blogs, and which also has a mobile theme.

If you are using WordPress then there are many free as well as paid plugins that you can use to reduce the loading speed of your site and make it lightning fast to load.

Here is a list of Free WordPress Caching Plugins to make fast-loading websites.

So, you can use the above-mentioned Free WordPress plugins to boost the speed of your site and make it load faster than before.

For Blogger you can use themes or templates which load faster.

To check the loading speed of your site you can use these free tools like GT Metrix –  (recommended) and Google Page Speed Insights.

And for testing is your site is mobile friendly or not visit this free tool called “Mobile-Friendly Test”

Mobile-Friendly Test

from google to check whether your site or page is mobile-friendly or not.

2. In-Depth Keyword Research

Alright after the site speed & mobile friendliness second thing that comes up while doing On-page SEO is Keyword Research.

Well, you already know a single keyword can change your life as well as your site. But many of us don’t do keyword research perfectly, there are many free and paid tools for keyword research which we will talk about in this article later on.

If you are a newbie in blogging or you are thinking to start a new blog, then it is really difficult to beat those high competitors as they old they have enough money to hire Top Level SEO Experts.

So now what you can do as a beginner is you can focus on low competitive keywords on which there might be less volume but competition is also less. So that you can at least rank your site or article for those keywords and at least get that little traffic despite getting nothing.

After some time while working on low competitive keywords and some long-tail keywords, you will see that your site is also getting traffic from those competitive keywords as if your content is absolutely what users need then google will increase your site’s rankings on those competitive keywords too.

Always remember “The Content Is King“.

So, work on quality, not on quantity.

Now let’s talk about,

How to Find Low Competition Keywords?

If you have enough money to buy paid tools then you can go for Ahrefs, SEMRush, Mangloo Tools, and so on there are hundreds of SEO tools providers.

But if you want to use free tools then the best options for that are Google Keyword Planner (but you need to create an AdWords account for that), Ubersuggest, Keyword Shitter, and many others.

But one of the best and I personally use is a free Keyword Generator Tool from Ahrefs.

Yes, many new as well as old bloggers don’t know about this, that one of the leading SEO tools provider Ahrefs has a free Keyword Generator Tool which is completely free to use for unlimited time. But make sure you don’t sign up otherwise it will ask you to use its 7 days trial for $7.

Just use it for free by clicking here

So, to use it you just type your target Keyword and select the target country and just click on Find keywords, and click on I’m not a robot to pass the Captcha verification.

Then it will so you all the keywords with search volume and side by side you will see the KD (Keyword Difficulty), If you are new then try to use keywords with KD is equals or less than 10 that will be easier to rank. And don’t forget to use long tail and low volume keywords to get extra traffic too.

So, Keyword Research is must important.!!

3. Optimize Title & Meta Description.

So, you had done proper keyword research too, but now you also need to Optimize your title and meta description of every article, what does it mean?

How To Optimize Title Of An Article?

Let’s understand this with an example,

Assume your article is about “How To Make Money Online“.

So, to create an optimized title just use your main Keyword “How to make money online” once or twice, but not more than 2 times.

Also, if your article has more than 1 method then do mention the numbers and try to use Odd numbers, cause odd is also different and we want to be different, many big and old bloggers use this Odd method so you should also try this.

So your title should go like this –

How To Make Money Online: 5 Proven Ways/Methods.

As this looks more appealing as compared to just “How to make money online” and we used 5 numbers to tell the users that we are giving more than a single method.

You can be tricky by using relevant clickbait too.! This would also increase your CTR (Click Through Ratio) more which will also lead to an increase in rankings.!

So, after you Optimized the title the next thing that appears in search results is “Meta Description” so you must optimize that too.

How To Optimize Meta Description?

Again let’s take the same example,

In meta description use your main keyword twice but don’t use it more than 3 times and write a good optimized meta description which should not exceed 150 characters, as more than 150 characters are not shown in search results.

Well, this can be your meta description,

Want to know How To Make Money Online? Here are 5 Proven ways How To Make Money Online. Start from today onwards.

So, here I used around 122 characters which shows and tells the readers in short what this article is all about. I used the main keyword “How To Make Money Online” two times, and also highlighted that 5 ways will be shared, and also the readers can start it the same day too.

This is how your Title and Meta Description should be optimized.

4. Optimize & Add Permalink Manually.

So, you had optimized the Title as well as the Meta Description of your article, but you must also add permalink manually. This means it should be short and user-friendly.

As the search results show the articles in a particular format like Title than Permalink (URL of the article) and in the last Meta description.

So, it is important that you also edit and optimize the permalink of your articles. Because if you don’t do it then the auto permalink will be set the same as the title.

Again let’s clear it with the help of some example,

If your permalink is set on auto then the URL of your article will be like this-

https://yourdomainname.com/how-to-make-money-online-5-proven-ways

This looks too long and not professional, isn’t it?

So, the best way to optimize your permalink is just to keep it short and use your main keyword.

Instead of the previous one, we can edit it manually like-

https://yourdomainname.com/how-to-make-money-online

This looks short, user-friendly, more professional, and says clearly about the article, and also helps in the SEO of your article.

5. Write SEO Friendly Article With Proper Plan & Keyword Placement.

What does it mean? Here before you write just make a checklist before doing anything which will help you in creating a perfect SEO article. It can be anything as it depends on you that what you have to write in the article and how it should go.

But the main thing is Keyword Density & proper keyword placements.

What is Keyword Density?

Keyword Density means a number of times a “keyword” used in an article or a web page in comparison to the total number of words in that article or web page.

The ideal keyword density is 1-2% for 100 words. This means if you are writing 100 words article then your keyword should not be used more than two times.

This way you will use your main keyword in your article. So that it won’t look like spam.

Another thing you can do is make a paragraph of 6-7 lines or max 9-10, but not exceed more than that as everyone wants to get answers to their questions as soon as possible, So if you write paragraphs of more than 10 lines then the reader will find it lengthy and they might not like reading long articles.

But instead of writing a long paragraph, you can divide that long paragraph into different small paragraphs of that it looks short and user-friendly too.

6. Use H1, H2, H3 & H4 tags Properly.

Alright, you had written a great article with proper keyword placements too. But if you didn’t use H1, H2, H3 & H4 tags properly then you might lose some more organic traffic too.

As when the search engines crawl your article pages and also saves those headings and other subheadings and if you had placed your keyword in those heading tags then it will give single to search engine bot that what your article is about, so it will show in search results of users.

Well H1 tag is used once in every article as the main heading, but the subheadings are used as H2 & H3 and then minor headings H4,5,6 and so on.

So, make sure you use proper heading tags in your article,

For example.

If your article is about Different Categories Of Animals, then your main heading which is  H1 will be Categories Of Animals. Then in H2, you will write Amphibians, Birds, Fishes, and so on and in H3 you will write their names and examples like in Birds you can add Sparrow, Eagle, Crow, and so on.

So, I hope you get it in the right way, I tried my best to explain you, but if you didn’t you can contact me for further clarifications.

Alright, let’s move to another important step of On-page SEO.

7. Use Images, Insights, Eye-Catching Infographics & Optimize Them.

As you all know images are really important nowadays in any articles or any books as it creates a direct connection with the views and readers.

It means you must include good quality images related to your articles, and if possible do share eye-catching Insights and infographics were possible as it also looks really amazing to the readers & it will also increase engagement and social shares of your article as it seems to be more understandable to normal peoples too.

But wait it won’t be that helpful if you didn’t optimize those files too. This means you must optimize all the images & infographics with proper title and alt tags in image settings.

And one more thing that many people don’t do, they just add the images without renaming them, like if you have downloaded or clicked the images personally then the default name will be like this (IMG20210330.jpg).

This is not good for images optimization, so before you upload your images, first rename it with your relevant keyword or title then upload it, and then also add it title & alt tags in the image settings, you might don’t know this also creates a great impact on your On-page optimization.

8. Internal & External Linking.

Well, while doing On-page SEO creating internal and external links are really important. As it sends a signal to crawlers that your article is not only focusing on the same topic but also giving some extra information to its readers.

And by giving some relevant internal links you can get more free traffic to your others articles and pages of your website.

The links should be relevant to the current article, which means if you are writing about mobile phones of any brand then the other article link should be about a mobile phone only not of a television.

Also, add some external links related to your article or if you have used data or anything from other websites then link them as a source in that article.

9. In The Last Always Try To Add Conclusion.

Always try to add a conclusion in your article, just brief the whole article by highlighting some important points and if possible do add personal experiences, this will really boost your article and add more value to your article.

And do not use more than 150-200 words, in conclusion, keep it short and to the point.

10. Have Patience & Let Things Happen.

Well, the main part of any business is that it takes time, the same is in blogging. If you are a blogger then you must have patience, because good things take time and in some situations, it takes more than half a year.

As earlier said day by day competition and competitors are increasing rapidly, everyone is trying their best to Rank No. 1 On Google. So it’s really become difficult to get there in few days. That’s why we must have patience and wait for things to happen.

And now let me add a simple Checklist Of On-page SEO for better understanding and it will also work as a quick recap.
